Jamaica is a country of extremes. It’s the place to which Ian Fleming retreated to write the James Bond books at his home, Goldeneye. Through the generations it’s a country that’s given us world-class athletes, Usain Bolt being the most recent obvious example, and of course it’s the land of reggae and Bob Marley.
It’s not a territory that’s been much associated with business, and particularly the BPO industry before, and that’s something it’s determined to fix now. It was for this reason that JAMPRO, its inward investment agency, invited Intelligent Sourcing to come and see what it had to offer at this year’s Jamaica Investment Forum (JIF), hosted under the theme: Connect for Business.
