Sarah Burnett is a Vice President of Research at Everest Group. Based in London, Sarah serves European clients across Everest Group’s global services research areas. She often speaks at leading client and industry events, as well as contributes to media. Well known throughout the UK and the rest of Europe as a thought leader and influencer, she is active in social media as a frequent blogger and Twitter user.
Sarah offers more than 20 years of experience and expertise in the global services industry, having served in a variety of capacities, including in-house practitioner, outsourcing provider, and research analyst.
Prior to joining Everest Group, she spent three years as a Research Vice President with NelsonHall, leading the government BPO and the IT infrastructure management outsourcing research programmes. Before that, Sarah led the government technology practice at Ovum. Other experiences include managing IT and IT applications groups for Digital (currently now part of HP).
Sarah is often quoted in and contributes to industry media, such as Computer Weekly, Outsource Magazine and Professional Outsourcing. Her blog, Sarah Burnett’s Web Musings, has twice been on the shortlist for Computer Weekly blog awards.
Serving as deputy chair of BCSWomen, a member of BCS’ Government Relations Group, and Tech UK Women in Tech Council, Burnett donates her time to helping women pursue careers in IT and organizing events to support technology startups.
Burnett earned an MSc in Modern Optics from Reading University and a BSc in Physics and Electronics from Reading University.
