TalkTalk outsources infrastructure to CGI

CGI has won the One IT Operations Outsourcing contract from UK telecommunications company TalkTalk. The contract will see CGI strengthen and transform TalkTalk’s operational services over the next five years.

TalkTalk’s five year One IT Operations contract forms part of a business-wide transformation programme. TalkTalk is looking for efficiencies after a decade of in-housing its IT function and wants to move from reactive support to preventative action.

CGI says it will modernise the operation of TalkTalk’s IT with a suite of monitoring and CGI’s proprietary automation tools to drive efficiency and reliability, generating a stable platform for future operations. CGI will manage the migration of TalkTalk’s apps into the private cloud, providing enhanced stability, capacity and improved capabilities for validating future releases.
